Refund & Cancellation Policy
Sapienbase sells digital educational content with instant account access. By purchasing and again when you first open a product, you sign our Digital Product Agreement, which confirms that digital content is final sale once accessed. This policy summarises the limited exceptions and explains how cancellations work. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service.
1. Digital products are final sale
Ebooks, prompt packs, courses, guides, templates, tool access and any other digital content are final sale once you access, view, stream, download or open any part of them.
You expressly consent to immediate delivery before the end of any statutory cooling-off/withdrawal period, and you acknowledge that you lose the statutory right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. This mirrors the consent you give in the Digital Product Agreement at product unlock.
Because digital content cannot be “returned” in the way physical goods can, no refund is due for buyer's remorse, change of mind, “I didn't read it”, “it wasn't what I expected”, “I already knew the content”, “I found it cheaper elsewhere”, or because you did not use the content.
2. No reliance on marketing or support representations
The Digital Product Agreement you sign before first access supersedes any prior marketing, sales-page, checkout, email, social-media, advertisement or support chat statement about refunds, satisfaction guarantees, cooling-off periods or trial rights for the specific product you open.
We do not operate a general “money-back” or “satisfaction” guarantee. Any claim of a guarantee that appears outside the signed Agreement is void as to the product once you access it, unless it is expressly restated in the Agreement itself at the time of signing.
3. Limited exceptions — when a refund may be granted
Notwithstanding the final-sale rule, we will refund or remedy an order only in the following narrow circumstances:
- Non-delivery or unresolved technical fault. If we fail to deliver any access at all, or a verifiable technical fault (for example a broken product gate, corrupted file, or persistent login error) prevents you from using the product and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, contact support@sapienbase.com. We will attempt to resolve the issue first; only if we cannot deliver usable access will we refund the affected order.
- Duplicate or unauthorised charge. Duplicate charges, billing errors or charges made without your authorisation are refunded immediately upon verification. If you believe your card was used fraudulently, email fraud@sapienbase.com before initiating a chargeback; see our Chargeback & Payment Integrity Policy.
- Mandatory non-waivable rights. Nothing in this policy removes any statutory right that the law applicable to you does not allow us to waive. Where such a right exists and genuinely applies to your order, it prevails to the extent it is mandatory in your jurisdiction.
Outside these exceptions, refunds are granted solely at our discretion as a goodwill gesture and never create a precedent or entitlement for other orders.
4. Subscriptions, trials and renewals
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from the Billing area of your account or by emailing support@sapienbase.com. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current period or any period that has already started.
- Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the interval and price shown at checkout until cancelled. We send a renewal reminder before the trial converts and before annual renewals to the email on your account.
- Trials. A free trial converts to a paid subscription at the price shown when you started the trial, unless you cancel before the trial ends. You must cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to stop the next charge. We cannot refund charges resulting from a missed cancellation, because the Pro library was available to you immediately throughout the trial and the paid period.
- No partial or prorated refunds for subscription periods already billed, except where required by law or where we discontinue a tier.
- Price changes are notified at least 30 days in advance and apply from your next renewal; you may cancel before then.
- If we discontinue a subscription tier, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid period on a prorated basis.
5. One-click upsells and downsells
One-click upsells and downsells you accept after a purchase are treated as separate transactions and are covered by the same final-sale rules as the main product. Accepting an upsell requires an explicit click on the confirmation button — we never charge a card without that action, and every accepted offer generates its own receipt showing the product and amount. If you believe an upsell was charged without your click, email us and we will review the click and event logs and refund if we cannot evidence your acceptance.
6. Fraud, abuse and chargebacks
We may decline a refund and suspend an account where we identify abuse: repeated refund requests across multiple orders or accounts, bulk downloading followed by a refund request, redistribution or resale of content, sharing of credentials, or attempts to obtain both a refund and continued access.
You agree to contact support@sapienbase.com and give us at least five business days to respond before raising a chargeback, payment dispute or bank claim. A chargeback raised in breach of this policy is a breach of contract and may result in suspension, revocation of access and recovery of disputed amounts plus fees.
7. Currency, fees and payment method
Refunds are issued in the original currency to the original payment method. We do not refund to a different card, account or wallet. We are not responsible for currency conversion differences, foreign-transaction fees or bank charges applied by your issuer, which may mean the amount you receive differs slightly from the amount charged.
8. How to request a refund or cancellation
- Email support@sapienbase.com from the address used at checkout.
- Include your order number, the product, and a description of the issue (for example non-delivery or a technical fault).
- We respond within 2 business days and, where a refund is due under this policy, process it within 5–10 business days to your original payment method. Your bank may take a few additional days to post it.
Where a refund is granted, access to the refunded product or subscription is revoked and any licence to use it terminates. Continuing to use refunded content is a breach of our Terms.
9. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights you may have under applicable law. Where such rights conflict with this policy, the mandatory rights prevail — but only to the extent they are, in fact, mandatory in your jurisdiction and apply to the specific digital product or subscription charge in question.
